This patcher fixes a minor problem with the Anchored Files preferences in DiskExpress® Pro 3.0. In certain configurations, your settings for anchored files may not be saved after a restart. If you experience this problem, you need this patch.
After applying the patch, your DiskExpress® Pro components will be version 3.0.1.
To patch your DiskExpress® Pro version 3.0 follow these steps:
1) If you are using any form of extension management software (i.e. Extensions Manager from Apple) make sure that neither DiskExpress® Pro Extension nor DiskExpress® Pro is disabled.
2) Open the DiskExpress 3.0->3.0.1 Patcher.
3) A new window will appear that prompts you to select the "DiskExpress® Pro Extension" file. This component is installed in your System Folder's Extension folder by default. Once you select the file, click the Patch button.
4) After selecting the first file, you will be prompted for a second file named "DiskExpress® Pro", which is installed in the Control Panels folder of your System Folder by default. Click the Patch button once the file is selected.
5) Next, a confirmation dialog will allow you to verify your choices before proceeding with the Patch. If you are satisfied with the selected files shown, click the Patch button. Otherwise, click Cancel.
5) That's all there is to it. Restart your computer so that the patched software will load.
This Patcher has undergone extensive testing. However, should an unexpected situation cause the update to fail, please try reinstalling the software from your original DiskExpress® Pro installer disk and running the Patcher again.
